Myanmar is still in the unusual condition, according to the report of the State Administration Council Chairman at the National Defence and Security Council.
The National Defence and Security Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar held the meeting 1/2023 at the meeting hall of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw on 31 January.
Present at the meeting were Pro Tem President U Myint Swe, Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw U T Khun Myat, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, specially invited Secretary of the State Administration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe and Joint-Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Legal Affairs and Union Attorney General Dr Thida Oo.
Vice-President U Henry Van Thio asked for a leave of absence from the meeting because of health condition.
Firstly, the SAC Chairman the Commander-in-Chief explained the condition of declaring the state of emergency in the entire nation due to voting fraud and attempting to seize the state power by force without solving the problems by officials, implementations of the 5-point Road Map of the State Administration Council, checking and scrutinizing the voter lists by forming the Union Election Commission and findings, taking actions to officials due to voting fraud, the direct and indirect pressure on the Union Election Commission by the Chairman of the NLD party and the former President, efforts for the development of the country’s economy and eternal peace, covid-19 prevention, treatment and vaccination, granting amnesty, undertakings for the correct voter lists in upcoming election, seizure of narcotic drugs, killing and injuring innocent civilians by the violent acts of terrorist groups such as CRPH, NUG and their affiliates so-called PDF terrorists, losses and damages of the state and private owned materials and properties and attempting to seize the state power with insurrection and violent ways, SAC released.
All attendees including the Pro Tem President discussed the conditions on killing innocent people by the terrorist groups such as CRPH, NUG and their affiliates, so-called PDF terrorists who want to utterly destroy the state although it is implementing for all-round development, peace and stability of the State, conducting bomb attacks to public places, continuing threats to people by arms and the situation that is still in the unusual condition which is attempting to seize the state power by means of insurrection and violence. The necessary statements will be issued by the National Defence and Security Council on 1 February 2023, it is reported.
