The Maravijaya Buddha Image is being conveyed onto the Yadana Throne for 90-degree as of 9:00 pm today.
A holy and auspicious ceremony to put the Maravijaya Buddha Image on top of the Yadana Throne was held in the morning of 26 January at Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, Union Territory, where the image will be placed.
The ceremony was graced by the Sayadaws and Members of the Sangha led by Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Bamaw Monastery Sayadaw of Mandalay Dr. Bhadanda Kumara Bhivamsa and Chancellor of Sitagu International Buddhist Academy Chairman of Shwe Kyin Nikaya Sitagu Sayadaw Dr Bhadanda Nyanissara, along with the attendance of Chairman of the State Administrative Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife, and well-wishers.
The Buddha Image is being conveyed onto the Yadana Throne with the use of steel tower crane, and 90-degree of the Buddha Image has been raised up as of 9:00 pm on today. The process took a total of 72 hours and 50 minutes.
At present, the Buddha Image and its steel cover cage which have a total of 2,367.5 ton, is being raised up by 8 steel tower cranes, and the process for conveying of the Buddha Image onto the Yadana Throne will be continued according to the procedures.
