Both countries have given the green light to resume trading activities at Myanmar-China border trade gates and trucks can directly pass via Mang Wein gate today, according to Muse trade centre.
U Sai Khin Maung, Vice-Chairman of Muse Fruit Wholesale Center, said: “As Myanmar-China border gates ( Kyalgaung-Mang Wein gate) were opened, trunks can directly enter the country through Mang Wein gate.”
Although China opened three border trade gates between Myanmar and China on 8 January, Myanmar did not allowed to open them.
China resumed trade activities on trade borders including Nantaw, Sinphu and Maung Wein, which performed the majority of trade, since 8 January 2023.
Truck drivers must pass through goods post route from 6.30 am to 9.30 pm Myanmar Standard Time. The vehicles carrying civil servants must pass through Nantaw gate from 6.30 am to 10 pm MST. Other cars, motorcycle and electric motorcycle must pass via China-Myanmar market route from 6.30 am to 10 pm MST.
