The township-wise Working Groups collected household and population census through door-to-door service for 2023 general election as of today till the end of this month.
An official said: “We started collecting household and population census today and will collect them till the end of January.”
Township-wise training courses were conducted to enable collecting household and population census in December 2022 and started collecting the census in January 2023.
Similarly, the Working Group collected household and population census through door-to-door service at the Ward 3 in Kyaukdata Township of Yangon Region this morning.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Yangon Command commander Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe, the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Immigration and Population and departmental officials observed work processes of the Working Groups of collecting household and population census through door-to-door service and the Yangon Region Chief Minister instructed the needs.
There will be 4 enumeration groups at the rate of 5 people per plot. Each plot will be collected at the rate of 500 households and it will be conducted from January 9th to 31st.
