In commemoration of 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) Independence Day, the government is selling one-tical gold coin at a value of Ks-2.5 million, the Central Bank of Myanmar announced on 6 January.
To commemorate the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, which will fall on the 4th of January 2023, the government issued newly designed gold coins weighing one-tical and half-tical.
The new one-tical gold coins and half-tical gold coins together with old ones are available at the sale shops of Myanmar Gems Enterprise in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay starting on 5 January.
The gold price of Myanmar Gems Enterprise was Ks-2.5 million per tical on 5 January. The total price of one-tical gold coin is Ks-2.58 million including wastage charges worth Ks-80,000 and half-tical gold coin is Ks-1.292 million including wastage charges worth Ks- 42,000.
The domestic gold price soared to Ks-2.75 million per tical as the global gold price was high on 6 January.
