At the time of SAC, Myanmar received US$-over 1.5 billion worth of foreign investments from Singapore within two years, making up more than 30 percent of the total FDI, according to the data released by Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA).
Myanmar permitted US$-1.502 billion from Singapore businesses within two years from 1 February 2021 to end of November 2022 the SAC took the State duty.
Myanmar permitted a total of FDI worth US$-4.461 billion and Singapore is the top source of FDI, investing over 30 percent.
Myanmar received about US$-95 billion worth of FDI from over 50 foreign countries including investment in Thilawa SEZ during 34 years from 1988-1989 FY till to date.
Singapore is Myanmar’s largest foreign investor with a total of US$-26 billion within 34 years.
