The Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC) held the educative talks (1/2022) on YBS drivers who fail to abide discipline on 28 December.
According to the order of Yangon Region, YRTC was formed and has to manage and supervise 3,500 buses of YBS. YRTC has supervised YBS, City Taxi, commodity and express buses since it took its duty. The number of commuters increased to 1.6 million on 22 December, Vice Chairman of YRTC U Chit Ko Ko said at the talks.
YBS service plays a key role in the transport of Yangon. Lives of daily 400 passengers rely on a driver who has responsible for their transportation, he added.
Then, Joint Secretary of YRTC U Lian Cin Mang reported on awareness and education activities on vehicle and road safety and importance of morale for drivers to be good ones who have accountability and responsibility.
Legal expert of YRTC, Myanmar Traffic Police and member of YRTC gave lectures about purnishments.
At the educative talks, 100 YBS drivers who fail to abide the rules and discipline.
