According to the information given by some local ethnic people, who do not desire terrorist acts to destroy the peace and stability of the State, the Tatmadaw troops knew that so-called PDF terrorist groups who carried arms, ammunitions and explosive devices arrived at the Konetha Village of Nahsam Township, Kyaukme District under the directive of the NUG and CRPH. So, the Tatmadaw columns performed attacks with the use of aviation around the Konetha Village on 7 December and seized arms and ammunitions.
Some local ethnic people provided the information that the NUG- and CRPH-proxy so-called PDF terrorists, who commit kidnappings and killings the innocent people and government staff between Yinmapin, Gangaw and Minkin townships in Sagaing Region, arrived and hid around Konetha Village in Nahsam Township and carried arms, ammunitions and explosive devices to carry out more terrorist acts through Palaung region.
Acting on the tip-off, the Tatmadaw columns performed with the use of aviation to seize the weapons on 7 December and they engaged with PDF terrorists many times till 12 December. At the incident, the Tatmadaw columns seized dead bodies and arms, ammunitions and explosive devices from so-called PDF terrorist group and some of them were blown up and destroyed at the scene. In the attack, some officers and other ranks were dead and injured.
In raiding the terrorist group, although TNLA ethnic armed group misunderstood the Tatmadaw over the attack occured in Palaung region, they realized later that the clearance operation conducted by the Tatmadaw is concerned with NUG, CRPH and PDF that commit destructive acts on people and accepted it.
People are urged to secretly inform the nearest security forces about the information of terrorists and to join in collective works for peace and stability of the region.
