The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) of the Republic of Union of Myanmar and Sao Paulo Merchants Association (ACSP) of Brazil signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to implement economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The MoU signing ceremony was held via online on 12 December and Myanmar Ambassador to Brazil U Aung Kyaw Zan attended at the invitation of Sao Paulo Merchants Association (ACSP) and Honorary Consulate General of Myanmar.
The MoU was signed by Vice Chairman U Thein Han of UMFCCI and Chairman of ACSP Mr. Alfredo Cotait Neto.
According to the MoU, both sides will implement information sharing on economic, finance and trade to promote cooperation in economic and investment sectors which are beneficial between Myanmar-Brazil and issues on planning to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between companies and businesspeople of Myanmar and Brazil.
