Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin and Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing received Mr. CHHOUK Bunna, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar who is leaving Myanmar after completion of his tour of duty in Myanmar on 13 December 2022 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw separately.
During the farewell call, they reviewed the status of the existing traditional friendly relations and candidly discussed matters on a wide range of issues pertaining to the possibilities of further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation especially in the areas of trade and investment, culture, tourism and people-to-people contacts between the two countries as well as closer collaboration at both regional and multilateral arenas.
At the farewell call, they cordially exchanged views on the traditional bonds of friendship and partnership between Myanmar and Cambodia, as well as further advancement of closer collaboration both in bilateral and multilateral contexts in the coming years. The Union Minister also expressed his appreciation to the Government of Cambodia for its constructive role in providing Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar.
