A ship loaded with over 3,000 tonnes of cement from Thailand reached Shweme Port in Shwepyitha Township, Yangon Region.
Those cements are imported from the Ranong border, Thailand, to Myanmar by sea, with 1,500 tonnes each on 9 and 18 April. Then, they are distributed into the domestic market.
Resettlement activities in the Mandalay Earthquake-affected regions and construction operations across the country during summer will keep ships loaded with cement calling at the port to cater to the domestic demand of the construction businesses.
