They inspected the destruction of the football ground, tracks, stands, and entrances of the stadium.
Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung and officials presented reports on the damage.
In response, the Senior General said repair of sports fields and stadiums in the sports complex needs systematic checks by experts of professional teams. Strength must be prioritized as many athletes and large crowds of spectators will come at the time of sports festivals and events.
Special care is required in repairing the 400-metre tracks and stands.
The Senior General and party inspected earthquake damages at Wunna Theikdi Sports Stadiums A and B, which were completed on 31 May 2013, and Wunna Theikdi Swimming Pool, completed on 30 May 2013, and listened to the reports presented by officials.
As regards the reports, the Senior General said sports facilities of the sports complex suffered only minor damages.
However, their strength must be systematically examined with technicians as they are the venues of indoor games. Renovation and maintenance works require prioritization of building strength and safety.
