The sixth BIMSTEC Summit to be attended by leaders of India, Myanmar, Thailand and other countries has begun. Before the meeting, a minute of silence was observed as a sign of condolences for the people of Thailand and Myanmar who lost their lives in the Myanmar earthquake.
The BIMSTEC Summit is being attended by the SAC Chairman, the host Thai PM Phaython Shinawatra, Indian PM Narendra Modi, and leaders of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is in Thailand to attend the sixth (BIMSTEC) meeting, met with the Prime Minister of Nepal yesterday evening. This morning, after meeting with the rotating chairman, Prime Minister of Thailand, Phaython Shinawatra, the host, he continued his discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
