The State Administration Council’s Information Team announced that search and rescue teams from the UAE, Laos, and China’s Kunming city have arrived in Myanmar. Medical teams, including doctors and nurses, are also there with humanitarian aid and medicines.
The Myanmar government is quickly assessing damage and conducting rescue operations in affected areas while receiving international aid. Rescue teams, medical staff, and supplies from various countries are arriving daily.
On March 31, three UAE military aircraft landed at Yangon International Airport, bringing rescue teams, doctors, nurses, and medical supplies. The UAE teams are coordinating early response efforts, with more aid expected.
Later that day, search and rescue teams from Laos and China’s Kunming city arrived at Naypyitaw Military Airport with medical teams and supplies. They are splitting up to provide immediate rescue and medical help to the affected areas.
