Due to the earthquake on March 28, 21 monks from Ma Soe Yain Taik Thit Monastery in Mandalay tragically passed away, while 45 others were injured, according to reports.
The monastery, which houses over 2,500 monks, suffered severe damage—the clock tower collapsed, and the five-story Dhamma Rakhita building was destroyed. The remaining structures have also cracked, making them unsafe for habitation.
