People will be able to buy the car tickets only if they can show their NRCs at Aungmingalar highway bus terminal and Dagon Ayeya highway bus terminal in Yangon, according to the Yangon Region Transport Commission (YRTC).
The YRTC directed the instruction to highway bus terminals and distributed the stickers: “Those who haven’t NRCs are not allowed for travel”.
The YRTC has inspected the documents of the passengers from the bus lines weekly and actions will be taken against the bus lines if they violate the rules and discipline.
The express bus lines were instructed not to allow to buy the tickets with student card, vehicle licence and staff card. If they sold them who haven’t NRCs, the YRTC will make first warning and suspend the bus line for 3 to 6 months as the second time. If they violate for third time, YRTC will closed down the bus lines.
