Myanmar Railways informed that since the repair work on the Yangon – Mawlamyine railway section near Thahton, which was destroyed by mining on March 18, has been completed between Thein Sate Station and Donwoon Station, it is now possible to buy advance tickets for the Mawlamyin – Yangon for the March 24.
The Mawlamyine-Yangon No. 82 train will be re-run on the 24th for the 6:00 a.m. journey, and the Yangon-Mawlamyine No. 81 train will also be re-run. Business class tickets can be purchased 3 days in advance and economy class tickets will be sold 1 day in advance.
